New Release: Generation Lost TPB Vol 2
The collected second-half of the very entertaining Justice League: Generation Lost series (issues #13 through #24) will be released today in a $39.99 hardcover edition. No doubt you already have the entire collection of single issues, but this is your chance to own them all again in a hardcover edition that will look far better on your bookself than those individually stapled periodicals.
But that's not all! Booster also appears in this week's Absolute Identity Crisis collecting the 2004 Identity Crisis mini-series and Birds of Prey: The Death of Oracle collecting issues #7-#13 of the second volume of Birds of Prey. That's a lot of Booster Gold cameos!
Buy them or not; Skeets is already quite busy handling things in the Booster Cave.

Goodbye, Generation Lost...
With Justice League: Generation Lost finally wrapping up, it looks like Booster Gold is back to one appearance a month in his solo series. We've gotten spoiled after several months of 3, even 4 Booster Gold appearances in a month. So sad.
But what's with these persistent rumors that I keep hearing about an upcoming series...?

(Don't peek unless you've read Justice League: Generation Lost #24.)

New Releases: Generation Lost #24
Here comes the big finish! The final issue! The long-awaited battle between Booster Gold and Maxwell Lord! Justice League: Generation Lost #24 is scheduled to hit stands today (alongside Brightest Day #24), wrapping up the year-long mega-series. At 48 pages, it's 50% longer than the previous 23 issues, but at $4.99, it's also 66% more expensive. At least that's still cheaper than a gallon of gas! Buy it and make Skeets happy.

Booster Gold Versus Team Titans
Just for kicks, I thought that I'd compare the sales for Booster Gold's three 2010 series: Booster Gold, Justice League: Generation Lost, and Time Masters: Vanishing Point. While I knew what the the sales numbers were, it's kind of surprising to see them stacked against each other.
Booster Gold was the only ongoing series of the three and was also consistently the worst seller of the bunch. Time Masters did only marginally better, despite featuring Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern, three of DC's biggest sellers on a monthly basis. The best seller was a book comprised primarily of characters who have repeatedly proven themselves incapable of sustaining enough fan interest to maintain individual series.
I know that there were more factors at play than just characters (cost, tie-in, promotion, creative teams, etc.), but it would seem that the ensemble cast approach really works.

New Releases: Booster Gold & Generation Lost
Big week this week as Booster Gold #43 and Justice League: Generation Lost #23 are scheduled to hit stands today. This is the penultimate issue of Generation Lost. After the big reveal in last week's Brightest Day #23, what could be in store for the JLI as they head into "the most awesome fight in comic book history"?
But that's not all! Also due out today is the latest Booster Gold collection, Past Imperfect. This issue collects the first six issues by the creative team of Giffen/DeMatteis/Batista/Perotta. That's pretty good timing, seeing that today's Booster Gold #43 is the last issue created by the Giffen/DeMatteis/Batista/Perotta creative team. (Booster Gold-creator Dan Jurgens makes his return next issue!)
Buy all of them and make Skeets happy.
