Smallville Teaser

I can't make any promises, but I can venture a guess who's hand this is.

The image is a still taken by kryptonsite.com, the internet's leading Smallville resource, from a CW teaser for April's Smallville episodes. And yes, the Legion Flight Ring has already appeared in earlier episodes in the series, though no other Legionnaires are currently expected to appear for the rest of this season. So this is probably the closest we'll get to Booster Gold's costume before the episode "Booster" airs one month from now on April 22.

Personal Jet Packs

Personal flight machines have been making the news rounds in recent weeks, as NASA announced a prototype "flying suit" and Martin Aircraft Company has unveiled their made-to-order jetpack on the public. While neither of these products are quite Flight Rings, they certainly bring us one step closer to the flying cars we should all own by the 25th century. Soon, no one will need to steal a time machine to feel like a super hero.

Flight Rings for Everyone

It appears that I'm not the only one who would rather have a Flight Ring than a rainbow of fruit-flavored Lantern rings. ComicsAlliance.com reports on a fan-driven postcard drive to give DC a piece of our mind. I love the delicious irony of an old-school postcard campaign to encourage someone to produce an artifact of future-tech. Details on where you can send your postcard (and you ARE sending a postcard) can be found over at svengalilad.blogspot.com.

Where Are The Legion Rings?

DC just released rings for every color under the sun to promote "Blackest Night." And word on the street is that they will be following up with "Brightest Day" Flash and Green Lantern rings this Spring. So how much longer until they produce giveaway Legion Flight Rings? (Hint, hint, DC.)
