Life Imitates Art
Last week, news outlets reported that Skechers agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit over the truthfulness of fitness claims for their Shape-Ups line of shoes. One of the highest-profile celebrity endorsers of the Shape-Ups product was Joe Montana, arguably the greatest quarterback ever to play football.
An ex-quarterback of the highest caliber sacrificing credibility by endorsing a product that turned out to be less than advertised? If that sounds familiar, it's because Booster Gold made the same mistake six years ago with Akteon-Holt (as seen in 52 Week Three).
Joe Montana, you should have done your homework and read more comic books.
