The contents of this issue first appeared digitally last month, so we can be sure that our hero (and Skeets!) will be appearing within.

I bought both digital Injustice issues and even the darn Flintstones special - my very first comic book purchases ever - to tell DC just that.
Off to buy myself a adult-sized onesie that says "Baby's First Comic Book" I guess now ...
Don't I feel silly among you veterans sometimes

Congrats on your first comic book purchase!
May it not become a debilitating affliction for you as it has for so many of us.
(Must... buy... new... books....)

Given the paucity of Blue & Gold, Fire & Ice and pals, I'm at little risk of addiction even if I wanted to...

I didn't even know about this one. I'll look for it next time I'm in the store. Is it any good?
And CelebrenIthil, how did you get to be a Booster fan? Was it one of the TV appearances?

Though I don't care for the INJUSTICE 2 mythos and haven't been reading the series, I thought this issue was very touching.

The pair of Injustice issues sure tug at the ole heartstrings, yeah.
As for your question, it wasn't the TV appearances, no; as it happens, it was someone I came to follow on Tumblr who is a Big Barda fan, and she would post choice panels from the 80s JLI days from time to time.
I ended up reading them whenever she posted one, and the funniest were always those involving Boost' and Beetle, and Fire and Ice, and Guy (who doesn't get in a pair 'cuz he's a jackass)).
So I started exploring the JLI tags, then the characters' tags, and I kinda began to get their story piecemeal.
Needless to say, it would have been hella confusing an introduction to any regular piece of literature as is, but here we're talking about American comics, and I decided to like a time travelling dude who had major parts in the especially confusing universe reboots... but still! I was just so taken about how genuinely fun and lovable and... genuine Boost and pals were that I powered on, trying to find resources -- such as this wonderful website for which I can never express enough gratitude -- to help me make sense of the storylines, then hunting for scans, then hopefully buying real issues.
Which I finally did, yay (albeit digitally)!
I am kinda angry at myself sometimes for getting attached to a bunch of goofy C-listers who had their glory days before I was born and for which there now is little content and lots of heartbreak (;v;), but hey! Maybe we'll get a movie maybe one day and maybe it won't be terrible and it might spark some renewed interest maybe! And Ted is in recent comics, and sometimes he's even breathing! And sometimes, Booster and Ted know each other! And uuh... no Bea and Tora and pals tho'... but I digress.
Sorry I wrote a novel! But it you'd like to share how you got into the Greatest Hero You've Never Heard Of's fandom, I'd like to hear it! I'm curious :)
