This Day in History: Starlin Deposits Gold
Nine years ago today, DC released The Death of the New Gods #6. If for no other reason, this book is significant as the only time that the legendary Jim Starlin has drawn Booster Gold for DC Comics.
Starlin, perhaps most famous as the creator of Marvel Comics' Thanos and many fantastic Batman stories, has been working as a comics writer and artist for over forty years, and yet somehow, The Death of the New Gods #6 is the only issue in which he has included Booster Gold!
Unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly where it falls in Booster's continuity. Booster is seen very briefly on one video monitor among many in Darkseid's lair. The monitors all appear to be tuned to different realities across the multiverse, so I can't even tell you which Booster Gold we're seeing!
But some Booster is always better than no Booster. Thanks, Jim!
