What about Press Secretary?

Technically, White House Press Secretary isn't a Cabinet-level position, but the head of the White House Office of Communications. That's why the position isn't in this poll. That said, can you see Booster Gold talking it up with members of the press corps, promoting the agenda of the people who are paying the bills? Yeah, I can, too.

True, BUT with the exception of State and Defense most Secretaries don't get much attention or screentime (unless they screw up/get caught), and if Booster Gold goes into public service, it has to be a very public one.
(and after all, being the Press Secretary is just one step away from becoming the Chief of Staff)

No real person has ever ascended from Press Secretary to Chief of Staff. I tell you what, if I run a poll asking which role on THE WEST WING Booster Gold would be best suited for, you can vote for Booster to play Allison Janney's part. ;)

I'm thinkin energy, since Booster is from the future maybe he might know something about "real" fossil fuel alternatives. Course that would screw up the time-line...

Would it? Skeets came back in time with Booster because he knew that Booster was fated to come back in time. Couldn't Booster have come back in time because he was fated to give the world a new energy policy? I think the transparent aluminum argument holds some water, so to speak. ("How do we know he didn't invent the thing?")
