Never say never. Say "really, really unlikely" instead. After the Archie/Punisher crossover, I'm not sure that anything is impossible in comics. Just really, really unlikely.

Regarding Ted Kord, Jim Lee did post a new version of his bug ship on twitter a few days ago. Which of course led to rumours about him appearing in the zero issue of BB.

As much as I want to believe that it's a sign of Ted Kord...I've been reading Blue Beetle and Green Lantern New Guardians, and the New Guardians are currently fighting off the people who made/use the Blue Beetle Scarab and it may just be a design for one of their ships. Not to mention, Jim wrote in the Tweet that he was asked to draw it, so it may have just been something for a fan...

Yeah, Ted's not coming back unless something changes the status quo of the new DCU (and probably not even then). Didio has said Ted doesn't exist, and he seems to categorically hate fun characters and do his best to dark and grittier them, so I can't imagine it's more than just a fannish thing.
(Also, its getting harder and harder not to plan to go to our local Comic Con this summer just to face down Didio.)
