JLI #3 reached spot 40 with 48,972 issues sold. This is down from spot 23 with 59,490 issues sold.

The drop of over 10.000 units looks sharp, but is not much different to other B-list 52 titles. JLD loses are almost the same. Booster (and let's face it, as long as JLI is written by Dan, it will stay a Booster Gold title in all but name) still outperforms many titles from DC and Marvel that one would usually consider "higher tier". Including, but not limited to half of the X-men title*, Catwoman, Green Arrow, Birds of Prey, as well as Superboy and girl.

So those numbers are not perfect, but still pretty good. DC seems to be satisfied as well, considering that Jurgens is still on for the second arc, despite DC not having any hesitations to switch the team on titles that are underperforming since the relaunch. Also there are quite some Series I don't see surviving much longer on these numbers like Blackhawks, Men of War & Static Shock. It is not like I'll wish ill to any of those titles or their fans but once DC starts to cancel titles they need others to replace them...and with every replacement there is a small but rising chance of Booster getting his Solo back.

(*How many are there of those anyway? It seems Marvel is selling only X-men & Avenger titles..or solo titles of members of those two groups)

It's like you are reading my mind, M. I was just crunching some numbers to create a graph regarding sales. Usually, it's Harry demanding details like this.

As the hype-cloud passes, I think it's time we start comparing sales performance of the New 52 with what came before. There's a natural entropy involved with comic sales, and I'm interested how much, if any, the New 52 really shifted the DC sales paradigm.
