1. I like that Supes will be the "first superhero" again. This just feels right to me. Sure, I would like to see a 1938 debut or even 1950's and a bunch of history since, but the relaunch in '86 was well received and there is reason to believe this will as well.

2. I like that the history will be more clear. The events should be better defined and more consistent and that should lead to tight continuity and interactions among characters.

3. I like an effort is being made to preserve key DCU history. It is not a "from scratch" approach. The history seems to be considerable condensed, but there will be some.

4. I like that BG will be featured in the JLI comic and that Dan is writing him. Our boy is not going away and a strong showing in JLI could lead to even bigger things later. If his history remains in tact, I will be pretty much as happy as can be.

What I like about the relaunch:

...

....uh...

Give me a minute...

ah well the digital release is something I'll look foreward to.

And that Jaime got another Solo-Title.

Bah, humbug.

If I want to keep reading new adventure featuring the DC characters that I am attached to, I don't have a choice. The only thing that I am pleased about is the possibility that this change in distribution model may inject DC with new-found profitability and more widespread acceptance.

Otherwise, Jim Lee and his 1991 X-Men designs can bite me.

Since the list of negatives will be longer I'll try to stay positive.

1. Booster is still around and in JLI with his friends under a writer that gets him. (Trying really hard to ignore the costume but it's so hard.)

2. Bat history and Green Lantern history are going to be kept intact. (Although I could do without BFTC.)

3. Jaime has a book again.

4. While I'm annoyed with the Batgirl news including the lack of Steph and Cass I did get a kick out of seeing all the bat boys matching, apparently red and black are their colors. (Although I can't see Tim without thinking of the Black Swan.)

5. Red Hood and the Outlaws. I know it's not everyone's thing but I'm looking forward to it after the interviews. I hope they got rid of Cry for Justice.

6. Umm, well I'm willing to try out Captain Atom because of JLGL. Yeah, this is pretty much it for me.

I am going to try out the three JL titles. I think the little one might like the big 7 (6?) title, and though JL Dark title sounds stupid to me, I like a few of the characters involved.

I am also trying out BB. I want to try out one more title and am trying to decide between Captain Atom or Mister Terrific. I am thinking MT as the idea of a superscience smart guy hero appeals to me.

I'm reading 52 books in September. For the purposes of my podcast, I've preordered the whole line at a substantial discount from TFAW and will be reviewing them all. I'm looking forward to a fair number of them, but honestly part of it is that as a '90s kid, most of what I grew up with doesn't exist anymore anyway, so it's harder to get worked up.

Red Lantern and Batwoman are on track after being on hold for months/years. Batman Inc. has a future. At least a few Legion Academy members will join the team. Flash is at the epicenter of the changes, so everything in that book was moving toward the relaunch.

What I like:
- They gave Jaime (Reyes..as in Blue Beetle III!) a new on-going! Which is sweet :D
(though no Keith Giffen on board? aw man...)
- Ryan Choi is back! Yay! (confirmed at the SDCC!)
- ...and that's all....

Now, what I dislike features a lot more points, so...

1: Booster Gold as leader of the JLI
2: All the money i can save by not buying anything other than JLI
3: The potential to end all this pain by catching DiDio and Lee in the same room and beating them to death with the ugly action figures that will come from these relaunches.

Oh, if these designs are indicative of the future quality from DC, those action figures will be of such poor construction that they will be incapable of inflicting harm on anyone.
