As much as I hate to say it, "boring" is probably the word that sums up the DCnU JLI the best. Jurgens' recent slow pacing is really getting to me.

However, I am looking forward to more information about the terrorists.

I have a feeling that that Light-guy may have a moment of epiphany and see his brother getting hurt by his actions and swap sides...But that'd be cliche

Or maybe his brother could get hurt, and he blames it on the heroes. That's pretty cliche, too. I suppose there are a finite number of motivators of super villains, but then even Jerry Springer can only find so many permutations of family drama before he has to roll out "I Married a Horse!"

My first reaction, Painful-Shallow-Tripe. "PST", sounds like a syndrome. Or as Guy says, "a wild goose chase", if you're looking for good entertainment. :|

You know, if we keep reacting this way (cynical, irritated) to previews, they're going to stop giving them to us. Or they could just cancel JLI entirely. (Hey, wait a minute....)

I'm pretty sure at this point that DC is giving us only the boring pages in the preview. After all, why sell the cow when you can give away the milk for free? Or something like that.

Look at the bright side, with each preview/issue like this, I get less and less sad about JLI being canceled.

In the old DOCTOR WHO serials, it seemed that there was always an episode about 3/4 of the way through the story in which the Doctor and his companions were captured by the villain just to extend the story through the requisite number of episodes.

Yeah, this issue feels like that.

Dr Who and the quarries of England,ah the good old days. At least with those shows, when the story drug a bit the characters were still interesting.

Seconded. And now, after having just read the first DW/ST crossover issue, I really really want IDW and DC to work out some sort of DW/Booster Gold crossover. (I know, I know. Never happen. Ah well, I'll stuff it in my cabinet of dreams along with Ted Kord returning, Milagro as a GL and DC prybaring itself out of this darker and grittier morass it's gone into)
