Saw this solicit http://i.newsarama.com/images/blue_cv11_02.jpgAnyone excited for it? I'm interested to see how they have booster and beetle interact. They'll probably have the cliche superhero fight over a misunderstanding but after that will they become buddies? Will the legendary friendship and team of Blue & Gold transition into the new 52? Only time will tell but I hope so.

I'm not sold. DC went out of its way to eliminate any connection between the "New 52" Beetle and Booster because... they wanted to. I don't view this as a wink and a nod to yesteryear, but a middle finger to those of use who actually cared about the relationship between those characters.
I'm a "glass is half empty" sort of fellow.
That said, hooray for more Booster Gold appearances. May there be many more.

I'm torn. Of course it is great to see Blue & Gold together again (in a way), but this reminds me just on how much we've lost with the relaunch. Not just Ted kord, but the relationship Jaime had with him as well as Booster. And in the DCnU not even BB unique relationship with his friends & family survived.
I read the first few issues of the new BB series and it read like on of those American remakes of foreign movies or shows. The basic concepts and characters were the same, but the "spirit" of it got lost in translation.
That said, I liked the Poster's in the background on the cover (though Booster really has to quit the habit of getting his butt kicked on covers)
