Damn it! Thanks, M.

These previews that DC has been releasing in recent months don't typically start with the first page in the story. So there are probably pages in the book before the first preview page.

I hope you are right. It would be just wrong to talk about how they are being attacked by energy creatures this very moment, but not to show it

So you've read it? Did you notice that the energy creatures actually appear in that panel behind Booster? I'd totally missed that in the preview.

I'll have more to say once I've digested it a bit more. My first impression was that I feel like I must have missed something.

On second reading:

I like Lopresti's art, but his inattention to detail made reading this issue a littel difficult for me. I don't mean that as a knock on Lopresti. As the unofficial chronicler of Booster's adventures, I put a little more thought into each panel than, well, probably anyone else in the world. And with so much happening in this issue, I got a little dizzy trying to figure out the details.

Otherwise, I really liked the issue. I try not to get too excited about the first issue in a story-arc (because they are always better than the middle issues where the meat of the story should be), but I look forward to next months issue.

And if we have to kill off a few members of this team to finally get Skeets on panel, well, I'm okay with that.

I thought this issue was great! I mean you kill off a team member, bring back Skeets and crossover Batwing, plus a new enemy. I thought there would be a little more fan fare for the return of Skeets at least. Skeets is back!!! I thought this was by far the best issue so far in the DCnU.

You know, it's about time that he got his own book. I mean, if Batwing can have a shot at his own title....
