Veewy Intewesting...
Booster goes from star of a minor solo title, to leader of a Justice League team and interest in the character decreases. Of course that's not taking into consideration special Boostercentric stories like Vanishing Point or Generation Lost.

BTW, don't sell yourself short. Boosterrific.com will always be THE place for information on all things Booster. Kryptonsite traffic is capitalizing on the "Arrow" pilot because there aren't any other significant news sources. http://www.jaymeblaschke.com/Shrine/ARROWSHRINE.html is the closest thing to an active Green Arrow fansite, and not to be critical but it isn't anywhere near the level of boosterrific.com. I'm sure you are already aware that this site is design-wise every bit as good as a site like Superman homepage, better since this site features Booster not Big Blue. Boosterrific just doesn't have as much news to talk about since it's not devoted to DC's flagship character (a situation that DC needs to remedy ASAP).
Also, I hope I'm not sounding like I'm criticizing other fansites just because they don't have your web design skills. I enjoy Shag's http://www.firestormfan.com site, but other than the blog it's hard to find character and back issue info. I respect any individual who maintains a website (I don't, because I'm dumb and lazy) and devotes any part of their life to passing on knowledge to others. I guess what I'm saying is, boosterrific.com isn't just a blog or a shrine to a character, it's a full blown resource for us the fans, and that's rare. Ok, that's enough of that, sycophantic mode off, this is getting embarrassing.

Walter is awesome!!

Seriously, I come back to this site even though I am not currently buying comics. I agree with Grimmy.

Aw, shucks. Thanks, guys.

I conceived of Boosterrific.com as a site different than any other on the net: a resource devoted to tracking the minutia of a single comic book character in chronological order. I've seen it tried on some even more minor characters (Ambush Bug, Blue Devil, Captain Carrot), but not in a really approachable way, and never in the scope of detail that I'm applying to Booster Gold.

I worked backwards, adding the blog and forum more than 2 years after the site was established in an attempt to increase traffic by emulating what people (myself included) seem to like on other sites. I'm glad to see that to at least some small degree, I've been successful in building a Booster Gold community.

I agree with the others and would like to add a few more things. If you google Booster Gold Boosterrific is one of the first hits (after the obvious ones like wiki or official sites). Also not just have you already created the required infrastructure, but also already have a community. Sure not a huge one, but even if you create a perfect fansite/forum you still need people to come and contribute. Nobody is keen on joining an empty forum and just talk to himself. You already have the guys & gals to start talking about the show and once it's premier draws closer more will join (as well as us having more things to talk about).

io9 reports the official CW synopsis of ARROW, the Green Arrow television show written by the same people that are working on a Booster Gold project for SyFy.

http://io9.com/5909960/which-new-superhero-will-join-earths-mightiest-heroes-in-the-avengers-2

Read the following and ask yourself if this is what they do to a character as well established as Green Arrow, what are they doing to Booster Gold?

io9 wrote:
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

I will say this, these television writers do understand what comic writers do not: ongoing stories have to have a sizeable cast of supporting characters to "support" the hero's story. There are seven characters named in that synopsis! Does Booster Gold even know seven people anymore?

I don't really know GA well enough to know how "off the mark" this is, but i guess that when you take a single character out of such an interconnected universe like DC and leave the rest of the universe behind it is hard not to change too much.

To be fair, it's not that distant from the source material other than the addition of a lot of characters that have no comic book analogs. It just seems that a lot of things were changed for the sake of changing them, especially names. Naturally, I assume there is some good reason for doing so, maybe legal reasons. When you change the name on everything, you beg the question of why this character is licensed at all. "Vigilante who uses arrows" isn't a trademark of DC comics. If the producers think that is the part that will attract an audience, why pay DC for rights to the "Green Arrow" properties they don't really plan to use?

Other than his "Hard Traveling Heroes" "Longbow Hunters" and short Kevin Smith run, I know almost nothing about this "well known" B-Lister. Seriously, check out the lack of fan sites, I'll wait...
...See? he's pretty much a blank slate, I doubt that any GA "fans" will have much to complain about, as long as he wears GREEN and shoots ARROWs.

Unfortunately, I doubt the same will be the case when OUR BLUE and GOLD hero hits the screen, we Booster fans seem to be an opinionated lot.
In the end, I'm looking forward to hearing OUR complaints.. :D

Green Arrow has been a member of the JLA since JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #4 in 1961. He has appeared in nearly 300 comics with his name in the title alone! He has appeared in cartoons and toys for 50 years! Recently, he was a central character in a hit television show that ran for 10 years. A Google search for "green arrow fan site" turns up 6 immediate responses. (A Google search for "booster gold fan site" turns up one. Guess which?) I assume that you are kidding about the character being a blank slate.

To be clear: I don't care about Green Arrow. But I'm not going to happy when they drop the "Gold" from Booster's name, then replace Skeets, Michelle, and Trixie Collins with 7 straight-from-central-casting, made-for-television supporting cliches.
