We might not even know if the show will ever air, but what kind of fans would we be, if we would not spend the coming weeks and months with speculations, hopes & fears in the lack of any real news & updates with regard to the Pilot.

So let's talk about our wishes for the supporting cast. Skeets of course is a given..but who else do you want?

Trixie & Dirk? While I would welcome to see them back, by now they might be a bit too obscure (which would also go for Jack & Jill).

The rest of the Carter family? Michelle, Rip..even Daniel, Rose & Jon..I would like to see them all..eventually. I would not start the show with the all of them on board, but add them over time.

Ted Kord..he is a must for me. Even if I doubt that he'll get to be the Blue Beetle (at least by that name), you can't make a Booster Gold show and then ignore Ted forever.

The rest of the JLI..lucky for us most of them are B & C list characters that might actually have a chance to get greenlighted for use. There is no way we get to see Batman or Superman..but Ice, Fire, Rocket & co? I think there is some hope there...but just like with most of the Carters, this is something that would fit better in a latter part of the show.

Max Lords...does Booster really have any better villain than this guy?

Speaking of villains if Black Beetle should ever show up, all I want him to do is to give a short explanation of who the hell he is and then gets lost.

If the series is really based on BGv1, it MUST have Trixie and Dirk, or analogous characters. And I'd love to see Broderick and Senator Ballard.

Of course, the only thing that would keep me from watching the show entirely is if Skeets is left out. IT MUST HAVE SKEETS. I'm serious.

When you say skeets, do you insist on "Flying Robot Skeets" or could you settle for a "ear piece Skeets" (like in Smallville) due the budget?

I am almost willing to bet money that they start with a flying robot Skeets, who gets quickly damaged and loses his ability to flight. Since Booster (an d the time era) has not the tech to repair him, he has to stay at home and can only help and interact like we have seen it on smallville (or even the current JLI). Trying to fix Skeets becomes a subplot for a longer time and serves as a way to introduce new characters (like Ted).

Hmm. I guess I want the autonomous artificial intelligence Skeets. I recognize that a self-propelled, floating football is probably beyond the reasonable bounds for a television show. Therefore, I'm willing to accept it if Skeets is nothing more than a voicebox, like KITT. I do like KITT.

I've talked about this with Russ, and for casting I know how I would do it, if i were writing it:

Season 1 would feature Trixie, Dirk, Skeets (as a free floating robot), and would feature someone similar to The Director (only with a better name) as the villain. It would follow Booster's rise, having him start out in a strip mall office, doing deals for local car dealerships and such.

Season 2, with Booster finally making it to the big time, would see Ted Kord added to the cast...but in a twist, Ted would be playing Superman's role from Volume 1, being the established hero who doesn't trust Booster and believes him to be out for himself. We'd also get Michelle introduced towards the end of the season. I'd also introduce a few more workers/scientists at Booster Gold INC as supporting players, but keep the core 4 of Booster, Skeets, Trixie, Dirk with Ted as the fifth.

Season 3 would find Booster finally excepted...only to have Rip Hunter introduced, throwing a monkey wrench into everything. Michelle would also become a supporting character at that point.

You through me for a loss with your plan for season 3 until I realized that you meant "accepted" instead of the homophone "excepted." I thought you had skipped a season, Dallas style! (And yes, I am "that guy.")

Otherwise, that sounds like a great series, Chaos. But I'd have to wait until season 2 for the Boostermobile? And we don't go into the future until season 3? That seems like a long wait.

I am mostly in favur of the idea of using the different seasons to go through Boosters different phases (Cooperate Crusader, JLI, Time Master and so on), but I am worried that if the show gets planned like this, there is a real chance that an early end of the show would mean that we might miss things that are simply a must-have for Booster (liek Ted). Should the show survive for a 4th season I would add Daniel Carter to the cast. Since Booster should be a mostly serious hero by then, it would help to keep some of the humor and supports the idea of eing a Hero and Time Master being a Carter family tradition.

And there should be at least one special episode about young Rip & Booster Old (like in the Time Master mini)

Assuming they get time to plan ahead to a last episode, Young Rip and Old Booster is the obvious series closer.
