Now this is assuming that DC doesn't decide to keep Booster as the sole man remembering what happened in the original world.

If he does get revamped/rebooted, what do you want to see happen with him. What comics should he be in and what role should he take?


It's hard for me to decide. On one hand, I would love to see Booster remain a timecop. it is a very strong premise and provided Booster with alot of stories.

On the other hand, if we embrace the idea of a revamp/reboot, I would love to see a world where, because the Manhunter event never happened, Booster is still the CEO of his company, has millions, and his company has an alliance with Kord Industries, with Booster and Ted working together in a new Blue and Gold series. Be very interesting to see what could have happened to Booster had he never had his fall from grace, and instead matured WITH the money.

Kevin and I have talked at great length offline about what we might want out of this change, but certainly I agree with Walter--I'd like him to remember, since he was there the whole time. I also think that we need Ted back. If Booster ultimately fails as guardian of the timestream--and make no mistake, that's what this Flashpoint story is about--I refuse to believe that with the whole world changing anyway, he couldn't find an 11th-hour way to keep Ted alive.

Here is an interesting little twist...who is to say he failed?

Maybe...just maybe...in order to get things where they are suppose to be...Booster MUST allow time to change. Maybe that will be the major twist. The DCU as we knew it was wrong. It was an alternate timeline. Rip has been teaching Booster, been so strict with him...to lead him to this moment, when time will truly be corrected.

We don't know that Rip is from the current DCU timeline. Nothing has been stated to prove that. Rip, possibly, is from this new timeline...that is how Booster will meet his wife (heck, imagine that as a big twist...if where ever Booster lands in the new universe, the first thing we learn is he is already married!)

The rebooted universe does seem pretty close if not similar to the current one..So I expect Booster to still be a "time cop" with his ol' buddy, ol' pal Rip Hunter!

And I'm sorry to make so many of you mad but I want Ted to remain dead. It's too easy for the wrong people to make Booster a joke if Ted is brought back. With JLI we can have a relationship between Jamie and Booster that while not the same will enhance Booster's character and not break it down.

I don't know. I'm thinking/hoping that both Booster and the JLI will not have become laughingstocks in the first place in the brave new DCU. I mean, most of the JLI stories kind of happened in Giffen's own little pocket universe anyway. We can just make that official now and it gives this title the kind of gravity it calls for. I think the "bickering" in JLI under Jurgens will be more akin to Checkmate by Rucka than JLI from Giffen and DeMatteis.

We get to wait until September. I'm a fan of Green Arrow, but J.T. Krul does absolutely nothing for me. Still, I'll give it a chance purely for Dan's art. I guess I'll just be picking it up on a trial basis though.
