"After Flashpoint, the Timestream is closed."
This comes from Dan DiDio via Facebook (reported by Bleeding Cool) when asked by a fan whether Booster and Rip would still be working together in the new DC Universe. While Jurgens has been careful not to tell me anything specific, the general vibe I'd gotten from interviews and conversations was that the mission, and his relationship with Rip, would remain fairly intact even if it was shunted to the background and so this one's a little bit of a puzzler to me and believe me, I'll be seeing what I can eke out of Dan (our Dan) about it on Monday.\
Also mentioned in the same Facebook "panel" is this: "No plans for Booster in OMAC but some of his other friends might be stopping by."
Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but what friend has the closest connection to OMACs?

I read this too and it bummed me out. Although it should be noted that there has been conflicting information. He's said that Donna Troy was benched but the artist in Teen Titans said she'd be appearing in issue #2. I hope Rip and the rest of Boosters' series appears.
In regards to OMAC they said that Checkmate and Max would be appearing in the title. I could see Bea or a few other former Checkmate people showing up.

I am not really surprised by this. I made the guess earlier that there would be a ban on time travel for some time after the reboot. The new time line seems already very fuzy with the few things we know...time travel would make it even more complex, so banning it is the easiest solution.

I'm not surprised for those reasons, just that I recall hearing that Booster would still a Time Master although JLI would take up a bulk of his time.

It's hard to police the timestream when there isn't any history to police. Our primary example of "solidified time" to date has been Barbara Gordon's injury. So... here comes Batgirl! Whatever.
DiDio specialized in publicity, not management. Any comment he makes is designed to stir up excitement -- or whatever other emotion he can manage. DC has demonstrated many, many times in recent years that management has no idea what is going on in the mind of their artists, and they don't care if sales are even mediocre.
Personally, I'd recommend against taking anything that DiDio says as the truth, well-intentioned or otherwise. His mandates shift like the wind, so there's no point in losing any sleep over this.

True, there's already been other conflicting information anyway. According to the Newsarama coverage Jurgens said "Not right away no" when asked if Booster would time travel. Steph Brown was listed as benched and now their all saying she'll appear. One site says that Lian Harper is gone and Roy was never an addict when Lobdell stated Roys' addiction problem in a previous interview. So I guess we'll just have to see.
