Since he joined forces with Rip Hunter Booster Gold has been able to travel through time and space based on his suit alone. He has even been shown to travel not just to the far future, but even to far away worlds within an instant thanks to this upgrade..but what I don't understand is why he never teleports when no time travel is involved. The same technology should enable him to travel everywhere without any noticeable loss of time, even if he takes someone else with him, yet he travels only through space, when it also a jump through time itself.
Is there a reason for this? Did I simply miss the instances where he did this? Prefers he simply to fly everywhere?

honestly, I don't think it has occured to Booster to use his powers that way, only because it hasn't occurred to the writers.

I thought about this too. Booster might be unsure how the tech works in present time given the whole solid time thing and uses it a tiny bit. Also, maybe it might bring up too many questions if someone witnessed this? But I think he has used it like this in Blue Beetle when he saved Jaime. He appeared on the Reachs' ship to pull Jaime off then brought them next to the Reyes family/JLI while it was blowing up.

Yes, Booster is currently capable of using his time travel powers to teleport. Certainly he teleported frequently as Supernova. He has done so on several occasions (though generally in issues not written by Dan Jurgens; I can't recall Jurgens using the power off the top of my head).
Booster doesn't frequently teleport because it would damage his secret identity. People aren't supposed to know that he can travel through time/space at will, and therefore Booster would go out of his way not to demonstrate these powers unless necessary. Just as Clark Kent could appear in public without glasses, it's best not to give people that fodder for questioning his true power.

And it's Booster.. It's not like he would think at the last second to teleport away to escape from an incoming punch! XD
