Rather late, but found this comment on Booster's wiki page

Does that mean he had another short cameo in the next episode?

First Booster Gold: 1985
I didn't see the episode (and I am not inclined to track it down), but online cast lists for the episode don't include Martsolf. Smallville.wikia.com notes that Booster Gold is "mentioned" by Tess Mercer.

I see no evidence to think that Booster appears onscreen at any point.

Sounds like a mere shoutout, though it is nice to that he was not completely forgotten after his episode. Yet I should have though about checking for the actor in the cast list myself.
