I may have found a BG appearance that is not currently in the database (I could be wrong, but I couldn't find it).

Bulleteer #3 page 8 panel 1

At least in the TPB that is the location. Booster is an award presenter at a superhero convention. He is referenced by name at another point in the Seven Soldiers opus (Gimmix referencing meeting BG at the same convention I believe), but the data base is for actually appearances on panel (correct?).

If it turns out that I am just incompetent, my apologies. But I thought I would err on the side of completeness.

Thanks, Harry. And, to think, I hadn't intended to buy any comics today! The comic has been tracked down and added to the database:
http://www.boosterrific.com/comics/issues/?ssb103_Seven-Soldiers%3A-Bulleteer-Volume-1-Issue-3.

I have to say that I enjoyed it so much, I might go looking for the rest of the Seven Soldiers crossover, finances permitting.

You are right, by the way. I am almost exclusively tracking Booster Gold "on-panel" appearances. Though that does include advertisements and flashbacks, I am interested in the actual career of Booster Gold, not what others have to say about him, even in anecdotal form. To illustrate: Booster Gold has never actually appeared in an issue of SECRET SIX to date. However, Booster Gold appears in a Soder Cola advertisement in SECRET SIX #1, so that book is in the database. Booster Gold is mentioned as part of a joke's punchline by Deadshot in SECRET SIX #8, and that book is therefore not in the database. Make sense?

Yes it does. Happy I could contribute.

I enjoyed 7 soldiers very much. It is not without some notable faults, it has a heavy meta commentary, and not every key story element is explained (a thoroughly Morrison tome). But I have read the TPB several times and found the narrative and ambition of the storytelling entertaining each time. It is a graphic novel that has been worth my money.

I've now read a borrowed copy of SEVEN SOLDIERS. It is indeed everything that is good and everything that is bad about Morrison.

Morrison's greatest strength is build up: his rising action is intriguing and exciting like few other authors. His stories always seem epic, and the dovetailing mini-series is a delicious idea well executed. His characters are consistent and "human," even if as a rule they never talk like real people. (In this case, I thought that several of the characters were too human: what a bunch of whiny, self-indulgent "heroes"! They make Booster Gold look like Superman by comparison.)

That said, I don't like Morrison's writing. I have read few Morrison stories that left me satisfied. This was no exception. As the secrets of the story were revealed, many of them seemed too familiar to other Morrison stories of the past. Some elements were clearly unnecessary or unexplained. Frankenstein reads like the unapologetically literal deus ex machina device that he is. By the end of this story several pieces felt as though they were jarringly out of place/character (notably the ending for Mister Miracle and Klarion). And of course there's the typical Morrison ending in which everything works out, just because it does; you won't understand why, you just have to take his word for it.

SEVEN SOLDIERS is certainly worth a read as an experiment in grand storytelling, and I believe that I could recommend it to experienced fans of American superheroic comic books. I just really wish that Morrison would partner with another writer who could iron out the significant deficiencies in his storytelling abilities.

Very funny appearance!
I didn't knew about this one! And I wanted to check out 7 soldiers for so long..makes it one more (tiny) reason to read it :)

Today I had on my mind another similar little appearance of Booster I need to remember exactly..Just to be sure it isn't one that wasn't cataloged already...
(not remembering exactly bugs me..)

Well, think, man, think! If there's even the slightest chance that I'm missing an appearance, there's not a moment to lose!

I'm only half joking.

Only half! XD
I didn't expect less from you!

I think it has something to do with one C-lister DC character from the 80s..something like Amazin' Man, Blue Devil and the likes.. (the kind of books I've been reading a lot lately -thank you bargain bins!)

There was a lot of talk back in the day about a BOOSTER GOLD/BLUE DEVIL crossover which never quite happened. (The Devilmobile appears in BOOSTER GOLD #10, but not quite the Devil himself.) And I didn't think that 'MAZING MAN took place in the same continuity as BOOSTER GOLD.

I'll bet you saw a house ad for BGv1. It likely could have appeared in either of those series February/March 86 issues.

Damn it, now I'm really curious!

Not an ad - and I still haven't found it again.

I remember seeing Booster in a panel or two in some 80s DC comic. I've been reading a lot of those lately, and checking through the database here, it doesn't seem to be one of those titles...
More on that later!

I love it! Track it down, Eyz! (You'll of course be getting full credit for it if I didn't know about it.) And I do want to know even if you see house ads, too. Let no Booster Gold escape your notice!
