That...actually has raised my interest..but is this now part of Flashpoint or the already started Doomsday event? Or will both events merge? I hope this will be readable without having to buy one, or even two events. Oh and the cover pic can be seen here (direct link to the article, as always beware of spoilers in the source blog): http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/2011/04/08 ... the-flash/

Well, since the blog today is all about Flashpoint, so I think it will be solely in that story line. Probably have Booster taking on the Flashpoint Doomsday...which should be interesting.
If Booster manages to win, that will give him yet another check plus in the "Baddass" column, right next to taking out Batman and Deathstroke and outsmarting Sinestro.

hehe yeah that is one of the things that makes reading Booster fun.
He defeated Batman..but it is not enough that he cannot brag to anyone about it..he did it while dressed up as the mothman.

Since the entire publication schedule for REIGN OF DOOMSDAY has already been announced, I suspect that this is merely opportunistic FLASHPOINT storytelling. Whatever it takes to get sales up is a good thing.

I remember when they had a rumor that Supernova would be unmasked while fighting Doomsday in 52. Ever since I've been hoping for a rematch between the two. Glad this isn't with the Reign of Doomsday since I have no interest in that storyline.

But with the power displayed Supernova should be easily be able to take care of Doomsday. He can freeze time and has a Phantom Zone Projector to banish him. Actually with that kind of arsenal there a few enemies Supernova should not be able to defeat on his own.

Depending on who is wearing the outfit. I don't think Daniel for example would be able to use the suit as creatively as Booster. Besides, doesn't Doomsday adapt to attacks now? He may be too fast to send to the Phantom Zone.
Can it freeze time? I thought the suit could just freeze the people around by putting them in stasis.

Mh in the last issue of Time Master Booster/Supernova freezes everyone besides himself and Rip. If he stops time or just put them in stasis I honestly don't know, but would the endresult not be the same? And if he can freeze Superman (who, among his dozens of powers, is also a superspeedster on Flash-Level) he should be able to do the same to Doomsday. But since this would make the whole battle very short and boring the nova suit will either not be used or Doomsday would be immune to the effects regardless.
But actually..I am more interested in Booster going up against Doomsday with his normal power set where the solution is not obvious and he has to get creative to win..or at least survive.

It just seems different to me. If he stopped time then more than the people around them should have stopped. Supernova and Rip would be outside of time, in between the seconds. When the Linear Men first appeared Liri Lee stopped time so they could study the moment an explosion happened. Every person except Waverider (who's basically immune to this stuff) and her were frozen in time, the explosion it's self froze with it. They were in between the seconds. Stasis to me implies that only certain people are affected. Like if Supernova did this to bad guy in the Time Lab and Michelle came in through the next room she wouldn't be affected.
I don't follow too much of Doomsday but I've seen them make him insanely able to adapt to such things. For example he recently fought Cyborg Superman and turned into a cyborg version of himself. If someone can adapt like that he might not even be able to be beamed out with the PZP. At least not more than once. Although the situations are also different. Superman wasn't in a fight when he was frozen, he was with people who were helping him find his friend.
Agreed. I like the underdog situation when Booster has to rely more on his skills than his powers.
