First off, if this has been posted before, I do apologize.
Alright, so, I've been on the Comicbook site a lot more lately, given DC's announcement about one of their characters being gay in the DCnU. Looking back on some of the older posts about this, I came across some Booster links I seemed to have missed. One in particular caught my eye because, despite visiting this site about every hour everyday (even on the weekends), I never saw it mentioned by anyone.
Before I reveal it, I would like to make my opinions about the reboot brought forward. I can understand everyone's anger at it happening, what with character development being completely tossed to the wind and what not. I will admit, I haven't read as many comics as everyone else on this site, but when was the last time the entire DC Universe was reset to fit a new age and reintroduce characters? I would really like to point out, reboots can do some good. When did Booster come out? Right after a reboot.
Yes, character development is a wonderful thing and I love it, but it is nice to see a bit of a fresh start. I have my ideals of what Booster should be like, and so far, minus his fashion choice, he seems pretty much the same. BUT, because it's been reset, I want to know HOW he knows Fire and Ice. I want to know WHAT made him and Guy have such conflict in this world. I want to know WHY he and Batman are so chummy. To me, I've found the reboot to be more intriguing than irritating. Yes, I am absolutely LIVID Skeets hasn't appeared yet, and I'm incredibly upset that Ted never apparently existed. But hey, know what I got from this reboot? A new love for a character I never looked at before (August General in Irons), a chance to see budding friendships and love interests between people. I get to see Batman Batrespect Booster and not have it take 20 years (what, 10 in comicbook years?), no, it only takes 1 month (the heroes in this universe have been out and about for about 5 years instead?).
ANYWAYS. Now, with that off my chest (I had no idea where else to put it, so I present it to you's there), I would like to present you Boosterites this;
http://comicbook.com/blog/2012/04/14/c2 ... ging-back/ . Booster is ALWAYS a Time Master. He is still our old Booster, he's just younger looking now.
And this makes sense. At the end of Flashpoint, what happened? Booster landed in the Time Lab, looking for Rip and Michelle. It makes sense that they would still be around.
Again, I do apologize if someone else already posted this, but I never saw it on here.
