ANNOTATIONS

Page 3, panel 2
Captain Cold, who was bitten by vampires but has not yet been "turned," is not pleased that Midnighter and Booster Gold have shut down his Cold Gun and defrosted him. (It is unclear what motivated them to do this, but this series has never cared very much about explaining what's happening or why.)

Page 6, panel 3
John Constantine reveals to Booster, Midnighter, Deathstroke, Mary Marvel, and Captain Cold that he didn't die in issue #2 but was saved by Doctor Fate and has been "busy, busy, busy, busy" ever since. For details on what he's been doing, readers will need to pick up issue #8 of the DC Vs. Vampires mini-series.

Page 11, panel 1
"Baron Cinder," the despot holding Starfire captive in issue #3, is revealed to be Superman. (Don't get hung-up on why he has now has an S-shield carved into his skin. I already told you that this series doesn't like explaining those kinds of things.)

POWER UP: Booster creates many "little" force fields inside Baron Cinder's vampire Superman's skull in an attempt to kill him...

REVIEWS

Boosterrific Review: Am I giving this a one-star review just because I hated the story? No. I also hated the art. Sequential storytelling requires some continuity from panel to panel, but there's just no rhyme or reason here that I can (or care to) find. This might just be my least-favorite comic book of all time.
