ANNOTATIONS

Page 6, panel 2
Booster Gold stands facing the original Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Despite being a time traveler, Booster has never met the Legion before. That's to be forgiven: even the pre-Flashpoint incarnation of Booster Gold had never met this Legion of Super-Heroes before as it ceased to exist during the Crisis on Infinite Earths before Booster was introduced to the DC Universe. (The same goes for Rip Hunter and Michelle Carter, who are also of the post-Crisis, pre-Flashpoint DC continuity.)

Page 6, panel 4
Skeets identifies the heroes for Booster. In addition to Superboy, the Leginonarres pictured here are Brainiac 5, Invisible Kid, Shadow Lass, Sun Boy, Ultra Boy. Colossal Boy will be along momentarily.

Page 6, panel 5
HIS STORY: "New 52" Booster Gold doesn't even know that he's wearing a Legion Flight Ring. What a rube.

Page 7, panel 4
Skeets warns Booster that "the super hero community might well regard you as ... a lightweight." That's a weird thing to say. Justice League International #1 makes it clear that the super hero community does consider Booster a lightweight. Has Skeets not been reading the same comics we have?

Page 9, panel 4
POWER DOWN: Not a Time Master like his original counterpart, New 52 Booster Gold is out of his league when dealing with time travel anomalies like Convergence.

Page 13, panel 2
"Oh. Wow." That's all Booster can say when he learns that in a previously existing continuity, Max Lord killed Blue Beetle. (See Countdown to Infinite Crisis for details.)

Page 14, panel 2
ALTERNATE REALITY: Once again, Booster Gold encounters himself. Well, an alternate version of himself.

Page 14, panel 4
New 52 Booster Gold and post-Crisis Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) meet for the first time. Awkward.

Page 15, panel 3
Rip Hunter orders Booster to take them to Vanishing Point. This opens the door for a whole lot of questions.

Question 1: Why can't Rip take them himself? He presumably traveled through time to find Booster here on Telos in the last issue.
Question 2: How does this Booster Gold know where Vanishing Point is? He isn't a Time Master. Until last issue, he didn't know who Rip Hunter was.
Question 3: If he and his Skeets can travel through time and space, why haven't they done it before now? His origin in the previous issue implied he was stuck in the 21st century, but if he has access to Vanishing Point, that can't be true.

Page 17, panel 3
The only man who can save Booster Gold is — Booster Gold! Hasn't that always been the truth.

Page 21, panel 2
Waverider tells Booster Gold that he has a destiny to fulfill, and that he will have "knowledge and insight that few others will ever come to know." He then sends Booster and Skeets back "home" to 21st century Metropolis where any lingering questions Booster (or his readers) will remain unanswered for the time being. Really, we should be getting used to this.

REVIEWS

Boosterrific Review: It's not Dan Jurgens' nor any of the artists' fault this isn't a perfect book. It's an enjoyable read that advances the story of Booster Gold. Or I should say, at least one Booster Gold. And therein lies the problem. While this book concludes a two-part roller coaster ride, it doesn't settle much of the lingering confusion about who Booster Gold is anymore in the wake of Flashpoint. If you're not looking for the bigger picture (and like time-travel tales), you'll enjoy this book.
