Story Notes: Based on Superman's comments at the close of this issue, it would appear that writer Dan Jurgens was establishing a bit of foreshadowing for Superman's return from the grave following the "Death of Superman" storyline that begins with the final panels of this issue.

ISSUE ANNOTATIONS

Page 1, panel 1
A narrative balloon explains that Booster Gold and Superman are outside the Justice League America "Complex" in New York City at the specific time of 7:22 PM when Liri Lee of the Linear Men arrives. This is Booster's first encounter with Liri Lee.

Page 2, panel 2
Booster selfishly speaks of the assault of the Linear Man in Adventures of Superman #476 that had no lasting effect on the Corporate Crusader, but led to Superman's extended travels through time.

Page 3, panel 6
The "leather-and-metal" types could describe almost every other character that debuted during the wild 1990s. Certainly, the description applies to the Linear Men, almost all of whom were most certainly designed by Dan Jugens, creator of Booster Gold. This is Booster Gold's last appearance in this issue.

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: The soap opera style of Superman "diamond chronology" comic books is well showcased here, as Superman interacts with a number of minor characters in a familiar way. The entire DC Universe feels like a familiar home to Superman, even when the events around him are surreal. Fun to read.
