ISSUE SUMMARY

Cover Description: There are two covers to this issue. On the standard cover, members of the Justice League of America and Justice Society of America stare into the over-sized face of a Starheart controlled Alan Scott. On the rarer 1:10 variant cover, Batman is surrounded by Alan Scott and the Starheart. (Neither includes Booster Gold.)

Brief Synopsis: The combined might of the Justice League of America and the Justice Society of America may have met their match in the insidious magic of the Starheart.

Booster Gold's role in this story:
Cameo (Booster Gold makes a minor appearance)

Costume Worn: MARK I.v2 power-suit

Issue Notes: This issue is a tie-in to the Brightest Day mini-series. It is unclear when the events of the fight between members of the Justice League International takes place: despite the magnitude of events in this issue, these events have not to date been referenced in Justice League: Generation Lost.

This story has been reprinted in the following issues:
Justice League of America: Omega (2011)
Justice League of America: The Dark Things (2012)

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: Just what exactly is supposed to be happening in this issue? There are far too many narrative balloons, and no two panels seem to connect to one another. Just because the world is supposed to be falling into chaos doesn't mean that the reading experience has to.

Boosterrific Rating:

Tarnished.

I believe that the Starheart is messing with anyone who's powers are magic or elemental based, and that is why Fire and Ice are fighting Booster and Cap. Atom. it seems the key to the whole event is Alan Scott and his kids Jade and Obsidian since their powers come from the Starheart directly. (frankly, this arc is a step up compared to what JLA has been for the last year)
