ISSUE ANNOTATIONS

Image Copyright DC Comics

Page 2, panel 2
Weapons Master threatens Blue Beetle II with the life of Booster Gold, promising to "transport Booster Gold straight into the middle of a nuclear detonation," if Beetle doesn't cooperate. It is, in fact, a nuclear detonation which will appear to end the life of Booster Gold in future pages of the series 52.

Page 8, panel 5
Booster and Maxima have been teleported to an unknown location. Booster immediately begins making sexual advances.

Page 18, panel 2
After escaping the Weapons Master's pocket dimension, the new Justice League America convenes at Maxwell Lord's Innovative Concepts skyscraper. For the first time, all six members (Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Fire, Guy Gardner, Ice, and Superman) are present with guests Bloodwynd and Maxima and backers Maxwell Lord and Oberon. Maxwell takes the opportunity to grant League membership to Bloodwynd and Maxima.

Page 21, panel 3
Alone, Booster and Beetle discuss Bloodwynd. Beetle is suspicious of Bloodwynd's motives and knowledge of the League. Booster points out that benevolence is not a requirement for membership. Though Booster references Guy Gardner specifically, he may as well also be talking about Lobo, Orion, or Rocket Red #4, all temporarily Justice League members since Booster joined.

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: The latest less-humor, more-action era of the Justice League continues to roll on in episodic, melodramatic style that should be familiar to older fans of the League. Fortunately, in a rare exception to what is usually the case when a book focuses on action, character development has not been sacrificed in this new League, allowing fans new and old to find a reason to keep reading these highly entertaining stories.
