ISSUE ANNOTATIONS

Page 6, panel 2
Inside the New York JLI Embassy building, Booster Gold and Blue Beetle flee from the bored, incompetent Green Lantern G'Nort. This is the only appearance of Booster and Beetle in this issue.

Page 15, panel 1
The Scarlet Skier, G'Nort's "arch-enemy," and his master Mister Nebula are comically patterned after Marvel Comics' Silver Surfer and Galactus. Galactus, "Devourer of Worlds," and his herald, the Silver Surfer, first appeared in Fantastic Four #48 in 1966.

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: This story would probably seem much, much better if it had the assist of previous series' artists such as Kevin McGuire or Adam Hughes. As it is, the fill-in art by Tom Artis (not terrible, but by no means in the league of the aforementioned artists) fails to enhance a silly parody of Marvel Comics' Silver Surfer. It hurts even more that the story features hapless Green Lantern G'Nort at the exclusion of actual members of the Justice League roster.

Boosterrific Rating:

Gold Standard.
