ISSUE ANNOTATIONS

Page 5, panel 7
New members on their first mission with the League, Green Flame and Ice Maiden join Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and Mister Miracle in a mission to attack the alien "containment unit" in Australia while Captain Atom, Martian Manhunter, and Rocket Red #4 fight the Cluster in space.

Page 6, panel 3
BUSTER GOLD: Green Flame calls Booster "Buster," continuing the long-running gag.

Page 9, panel 4
The Cluster damages the JLI shuttle, causing Miracle to comment that "S.T.A.R. Labs is really gonna kill us now!" This shuttle is the second shuttle that S.T.A.R. Labs has loaned to the JLI; the first was damaged in battle with the Manhunters in Justice League International #9.

Page 14, panel 1
BUSTER GOLD: Green Flame calls Beetle and Booster "Butthead and Buster." This is similar to the name of a pair of popular animated MTV teens, Beavis and Butt-head, though those two wouldn't make their television debut for several years after the publication of Green Flame's comments.

Page 20, panel 8
Beetle, Booster, Flame, and Ice Maiden realize that Mister Miracle was inside the alien structure when it departed from Earth, though they are unable to do anything about it.

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: Another miss. This issue concludes the story of the previous issue, with the same creative team and the same flaws. Some seriously questionable characterization (including too much slapstick buffoonery) combined with Steve Leialola's cartoonish pencils are simply too distracting to allow for the reader to enjoy the story. A disappointing issue.

Boosterrific Rating:

Tarnished.
