ISSUE SUMMARY

Cover Description: Booster Gold and Blue Beetle are working in the fast food restaurant Beelze-Burger selling food to demons.

Brief Synopsis: The Super Buddies finds themselves trapped in Hell.

Costume Worn: MARK XII armored power-suit

Issue Notes: Originally written and promoted in 2004 as the mini-series I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League, this story was published in 2005 due to conflicting events occurring in the Identity Crisis mini-series. Events in this story must take place prior to Identity Crisis #1 for obvious reasons. Also, events of the Infinite Crisis mini-series have possibly erased some or all of the events in this issue from history.

To make matters worse (as if that were possible), the Supper Buddies are confronted by Etrigan the Demon, who conscripts them all including Booster, "the dim one," to work in his restaurant franchise.

Page 9, panel 6
Elongated Man coins the eponymous word "Booster" to mean a horrible situation generated by carelessness.

Page 17, panel 3
The movie theater in Hell is a multiplex in which all the screens are playing Gigli except one. The remaining screen is showing Catwoman, a movie based on the DC Comics' character. Both are considered among the worst big-budget movies ever released. An advertisement nearby advertises for a Michael Bay festival. Michael Bay is the oft-criticized but highly-grossing director of such major films as Armageddon and Pearl Harbor (both of which feature performances Ben Affleck, the lead actor in Gigli).

FIRST APPEARANCE: Booster and company are introduced to the managers of the Big Belly Burger in Hell, Brother Garc and Brother Maul.
