Blue Beetle II, Booster Gold, and Mister Miracle sit impatiently in Cameron Scott's Washington D.C. apartment, waiting for Captain Atom to explain his previous deceit to the Justice League.

Page 7, panel 4
Captain Atom asks Beetle, Booster, and Miracle to aid him in quest to prove his name. Booster's expression is one of grim suspicion, and he remains mute. After Booster's behavior during the Millennium event, one would expect him to be a little more forgiving of others foibles. Apparently not.

Page 10, panel 2
Booster identifies a mountain peak shown in a video playback as one in the Blue Horizon Mountain Range. On cross-examination from Beetle, Booster explains that the fictitious Blue Horizon is his favorite ski resort and "has the best powder on the East Coast!"

POWER UP: Miracle explains that both he and Booster can fly faster than the JLI shuttle that Beetle has been piloting as the two depart to search for clues to the disappearance of Captain Atom's friend in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Booster Gold: faster than a subsonic jet.

Booster and Miracle arrive too late to aid Beetle and Captain Atom in their fight against Hanar, Rakish, and recurring Captain Atom villain "the Cambodian." Cambodia is an Asian nation bordering Tailand and Vietnam. The country sided openly with the communist factions in the Vietnam War and was the target of extensive bombing by the United States.

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: The investigation into the secret cabal responsible for Captain Atom's court-martial continues with a suspiciously coincidental assist from his Justice League cohorts. Assuming that they can stomach some mediocre artwork and story, readers may find this issue to be a good jumping-on point as it recaps Captain Atom's confusing recent back story.
